I may not be old enough to be a founding member of the drill team, but I may as well be. My mom is a founding member, and I went to every event and practice with her until I turned 18 in 1999 and became part of the performing line-up of members. I remember my first performance like it was yesterday! We performed at a mini rodeo for a birthday party in Rancho Santa Fe. It was so exciting!
Now, it's 8 years later. I was Poway Rodeo Queen in 2002, I went to school to get my cosmetology license, and now I am married to a wonderful, supportive man, Omar, and we have a beautiful daughter, Lillyanne. In fact, in the first picture of me here at Cool August Nights, I was 4 months pregnant with Lilly!

After taking 1 1/2 years off, I feel like I never left. It's kind of like a bicycle, you never forget how to do it! Some of my other hobbies include camping in the desert, 4X4ing in our jeep, boating, and enjoying family and friends. I hope that in 18 years, Lilly and I will be able to experience what my mom and I did and ride together on the team!
