"Cindy and Janu"

Hi, my name is Cindy and I've been on the drill team for about 12 yrs.  I ride a seal bay mare named “Janu”.  She is a 12 year old quarter horse foaled from "Smoken In The Mist" out of “Smoky Bar Love” and “Misty's Shadow Bar”.  Janu is about four years into drill and 99% of the time a pure "joy" to ride and only 1% wacky.

I think most of us girls are born with a special gene for the Love of Horses.  A gene called "I gotta have a horse” gene.  I didn't get my first horse until after I got married and my husband purchased my first for me.  I've had thirteen horses since then and all of them special.

I thought I knew how to ride fair until I joined the drill team and found out just how much I didn't know.  But with determination and a lot of help from everyone I finally did make it on the team.

I still have that “WOW” feeling when I hook up the trailer and hit the road with the rest of the girls.  What a great way to meet with friends and gain more knowledge of horsemanship every time.

I have a wonderful husband of 37 years, three grown kids, and four grandkids.  They don't have much care for the horse world, (except for the grand daughters), but they support me in my passion.
